how to enter

Stage One: Thursday 26th June - Thursday 26th September

Explore the website and identify the categories that you are interested in entering from the 18 available. On selecting one or more categories to enter, simply navigate to the online entry page and fill in the short form to apply.

Organisations may enter as many of the award categories as they wish. For the following award categories you are required to complete the application form plus a max of 4 sides A4.

  • Best Regeneration Project
  • Excellence in Entrepreneurship
  • Legacy to Belfast Award
  • Best E-commerce Website Award
  • People Development Award
  • Best Business Growth
  • Best Marketing Initiative Award
  • Best City Hotel or Guest House
  • Best Innovative use of IT
  • Creative Industries Award
  • Belfast Champion
  • Contribution to Education

We require 4 copies of your application plus the original (5 in total). Single staple per application, no files or binding. Also each application requires the completed application form as a cover page. Additional supporting items such as brochures, CD ROMS, etc will only be considered as additional information to the required entry material.

Deadlines for all entries is 5pm Thursday 26th September 2008.

For the mystery shopping awards i.e. Customer Excellence - Service Sector, Customer Excellence - Multiple Retailer, Customer Excellence - Independent Retailer, Best Bar / Gastro Pub and Best Restaurant complete the Application Form only.

NB the judges are aware of the commercial sensitivity of information provided and all submitted material will be treated with the strictest of confidence.


Stage Two: Thursday 2nd October - Thursday 23rd October

All entries will be judged to include Mystery-shopping categories. The judging panel will involve senior executives and professionals from Northern Ireland with expertise relevant to the particular award category. The judge's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. All mystery shopped reports will be made available to entrants when the Gala Awards Ceremony is over.


Stage Three: Monday 27th October . Tuesday 28th October

Finalists for all award categories will be notified. Table Booking at Belfast Awards 2008 Book your tickets for the Gala Awards Ceremony using the booking form provided in the brochure or on this website. It is advisable to book tickets early to avoid disappointment.
