We are extremely proud to introduce the 2008 Belfast Awards, developed and delivered by all the partners involved in Belfast City Centre Management Company. The awards are now the highlight of the Belfast business calendar; and they create an opportunity for us to celebrate the economic success of the city and the people who live and work here.

Our aim is raise the profile of exemplary companies and individuals among the Belfast sector. The awards are governed by a distinguished judging panel that features many of the leading figures in the Belfast business community. The consistently high level of innovation and determination shown by Belfast businesses over many years has brought on-going success which we want to recognise and celebrate through the Belfast Awards 2008. Every company in Belfast creates diversity and adds to the strength of the Belfast economy. The Awards allow us to recognise those companies that have really excelled in a particular area.

Whilst there is, of course, tremendous PR value from winning these awards, it’s all really about taking part in building a more positive economic and social future for our Capital City and business participants last year tell us that taking part greatly enhanced their work culture and produced tangible results in terms of productivity and sales. The Awards provide businesses with a bench mark in terms of quality and enable them to examine how their customers view them and how they measure up against the competition.
